Strength, Stretch and Recharge: A workshop for musician and teachers
As piano teachers, you give so much — to students, to music, and often forget to care for the one person who makes it all possible: yourself. We invite you to a special wellness session designed specifically with musicians and educators in mind, led by Leba Lualdi, owner of Yoga Lounge and Barre.
In this interactive session, you’ll learn practical techniques to help you stay healthy, focused, and pain-free at the piano:
Relieve tension in your upper back and shoulders
Practice wrist stretches and strengthening exercises
Experience calming breath work and meditation
Whether you’re playing long hours, demonstrating technique, or managing the demands of a full teaching schedule, these tools will help support your physical and mental well-being — so you can continue to teach and perform at your best. Space is limited — reserve your spot today and take a step toward a healthier, more sustainable music journey!
Come dressed in comfortable clothing—no yoga mat needed! All techniques will be taught from a seated position, just like you're at the piano bench, so you can easily apply them to your own practice and share them with your students. Get ready to relax, recharge, and feel more in tune with your body at the keys!
Doors open at 12:45 PM.
(ERYT-500) has taught over 4000 hours of yoga and holds nearly 1000 hours of training across multiple certifications, including yoga nidra meditation, restorative yoga, Ayurveda, and Reiki. In a past life, she earned a BA in Theatre with a focus in stage management from Kent State University and has spent her life in, on, and around the stage. She understands firsthand the physical demands of both practice and performance and how challenging it can be for artists and educators to find time to rehab and prehab their most overused muscles and joints. Nowadays, in between yoga classes, Leba enjoys plucking at the piano and singing show tunes for an audience of 1 dog.
